🏗️ Construction Milestone reached at Brooke Road, Oakham 🏗️

Burmor’s Finley Goodman, Trainee Quantity Surveyor, hosted his very own ‘Topping Out Party’ to celebrate a construction milestone at our site on Brooke Road in Oakham last week as he took to the skies with the drone.

This moment holds great significance for this project and beyond the structural implications, topping out for us here at Burmor is a symbolic gesture that acknowledges the hard work, dedication, and skill of the construction teams at this stage of the lifecycle of the project and offers a moment of reflection and pride.

What did Site Manager, Tom, have to say?

“Works are generally progressing well. The Ground beams are now complete to all 40 plots, and we have superstructure complete to 18 plots with a further 12 plots at joist level, 6 of these with joists installed. Roof structures are complete to 18 plots with roof coverings and PV complete to 14 plots. Internal partitions have been installed to 10 plots with M&E 1st fix progressing nicely with 6 plots currently complete. These plots are in the process to be closed in with the tape and joint to the first plots being carried out.”

He also went on to say…

“The section 278 road widening works are complete to Brooke Road which has dramatically improved the flow of traffic to and from the town centre. External works are progressing nicely with private drainage being complete and permeable driveways being installed along with plot footpaths and patios.”

Well done to all those involved so far at this crucial stage of the build, we hope you share our motivation to tackle the remaining phases of the project with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
